Class 5 #4 Rolla squared off with Class 3 #3 Montgomery County in the 2nd Round of the Hermann Invitational Tournament. This fast-paced, up-and-down game saw the Lady Bulldogs jump out to an early double-digit advantage that they would maintain throughout the game. For the second game in a row, the Lady Bulldogs struggled from the outside, but more than made up for it by attacking the basket on cuts and either making their layup or getting fouled and going to the free throw line, as evidenced by their 17 assists on 22 made baskets. Seniors Resa Martin and Willow Gideon led the offensive charge with 22 and 21 points respectively with Freshman Rylee Dodson chipping in 11. Kori Alcorn stuffed the stat sheet with 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals. The Lady Bulldogs will face off against Class 5 #1 and defending Class 5 State Champion Lutheran St. Charles in the Championship of the Hermann Tournament on Friday night at 8:00.
